Pro Brand Donates $11,000 Towards Hurricane Relief Effort

A fund for the small town of Natchez, Mississippi was initiated by one of Pro Brand’s employees, Kamma Ballinger, to aid in a relief shelter for evacuees from Hurricane Katrina. Employees of Pro Brand contributed to the fund, in which Pro Brand International, Inc. additionally matched $5 to every $1 that employees donated. The total donated by Pro Brand and its employees amounted to $11,700. Additional funds were also contributed by local community members.

The relief shelter housed between 225 – 300 people on a daily basis. With the money contributed, much needed medical supplies were able to be purchased, in addition to clothing, food, and bedding. Donated items, along with purchased items for the relief shelter, were personally delivered by Ms. Ballinger, where she spent a few days volunteering in the shelter.

ACCESS, Inc. Provides Counseling Services to Greater Atlanta Area

ACCESS (Asian Christian Counseling and Educational Seminar Services, Inc.), is a charitable non-profit organization supported by Pro Brand International, Inc. and its charitable foundation, Asian churches and other contributors, to provide counseling services to individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and families in the Greater Atlanta area. ACCESS also offers educational workshops and lectures as part of these counseling services. The program is targeted towards the Asian and Asian-American population, but is also open to non-Asian clients. Counseling services are currently available in Chinese Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English languages. Pro Brand’s President, Mrs. Cecilia Shou, is currently Chairman of the Board and President of ACCESS.
